Oysters with horseradish sauce

Oysters with horseradish sauce

Buy  six oysters from the fishmonger. Open them. Drain the oysters. After a while the moisture will return. Carefully loosen the oyster from the shell. Get some grated horseradish, some ketchup, some lime and a bit of hot pepper sauce. Mix it all together. Use a blender if you want it fully blended.

Place the oysters on a platter. Eat the oysters with a little squishy lemon and the horseradish sauce.

Different variations of horseradish sauce is very common in US, e.g. at Grand Central Station Oyster Bar. In Europe use of horseradish together with oysters are not so  common.
